Long before Babyletto was a brand, it was a family story. In 1990, Daniel and Maryann Fong started a small baby furniture company in Los Angeles called Million Dollar Baby. They were a minority-owned family business, driven by a simple idea: families helping families grow.

Years later, their son Teddy Fong became a parent himself. And like so many new parents, he looked around for a modern, safe, and beautiful crib for his own nursery — and found almost nothing he could afford.

Modern baby furniture was either too expensive or too hard to find. So Teddy decided to create it himself.

Babyletto was born in 2009, right in the heart of Los Angeles.

The first goal was simple and honest: bring modern, stylish nursery furniture to families at a price that made sense. Not luxury. Not cheap. Just well-made, thoughtfully designed pieces that felt like home.

From day one, Babyletto wasn’t just about cribs. It was about creating a space where parents could breathe. Where a nursery felt calm, safe, and truly theirs.

We also use FSC-certified sustainable wood across our brands whenever possible, and we pioneered Styrofoam-free packaging for several of our best-selling collections — a small but meaningful change that reduces waste while still keeping your furniture safe during shipping.

Through our partnership with CarbonFund.org and One Tree Planted, every product we ship is 100% carbon neutral. Together, we offset around 20,000 tons of CO2 each year and plant trees to give back to the earth.

Today, Babyletto is part of Million Dollar Baby Co., still proudly family-owned and based in Los Angeles. Teddy runs the company alongside his sister, Tracy. And while the brand has grown — with over one million cribs sold — it has never lost the feeling of a family business.
